Alternative Energy

Alternative energy is a term that refers to any source of usable energy intended to replace fossil fuel without undesirable consequences such as carbon dioxide emissions. At Richardson Electronics, we invest in programs and products that support alternative energy, including the manufacture of inverters and converters for both solar and wind energy solutions. Historically we worked with a professor from the University of Chicago in developing a more efficient solar collector tube. We’ve recently manufactured a   charger to be used in public charging stations for a newly released electric automobile. Richardson Electronics has the resources and engineering expertise to review alternative energy component designs and suggest changes for improving the manufacturing process. We are able to build prototypes, and our model is designed to support low-volume manufacturing requirements.
